The advantages of jaw crusher are: simple structure, small height, small mass, convenient maintenance, not easy to block, reliable work, but low production capacity. It requires uniform feeding, and needs to be equipped with a feeder, and the product particle size is uneven.


Compared with the jaw crusher, the advantages of the gyratory crusher are: the depth of the crushing cavity is large, the work is continuous, so the production capacity is large, the unit power consumption is low, and the work is relatively stable, it can be filled with materials, and there is no need to set up silos and feeders. However, it also has the following disadvantages, such as high body, requiring increased plant separation, complex structure, large quality, complicated installation and maintenance, and it is not suitable for crushing wet and viscous materials.

The gyratory crusher, also known as the primary crushing cone crusher, was introduced in 1878. Mainly used in large and medium-sized metal mines. According to the discharge method, it is divided into side discharge type and center discharge type.

The former is no longer in production because it is easy to block. Recently, the center discharge type gyratory crusher is widely used in China. Gyratory crusher is mainly composed of working mechanism, transmission mechanism, adjustment device, safety device and lubrication system. When the eccentric bushing rotates, the main shaft of the movable cone will make a conical motion with the suspension point of the beam 1 as the cone vertex, thereby crushing the material, and at the same time, the crushed material will move downward under the action of its own weight until it is discharged from the discharge port. In order to prevent dust from falling into the eccentric bushing during discharging, a dust-proof device is installed at the bottom of the moving cone. The hydraulic gyratory crusher mainly installs a hydraulic cylinder at the support ring of the main shaft hanging point, so that the mass of the moving cone and the crushing force act on the hydraulic cylinder, or installs a hydraulic cylinder at the bottom of the main shaft, so that the main shaft is directly supported on the hydraulic cylinder. It is convenient to change the size of the discharge port by raising and lowering the liquid level of the hydraulic cylinder with pressure. At the same time, the hydraulic cylinder is also a safety device. Therefore, the specifications of the return crusher are expressed by the width of the feed port/the width of the discharge port.
